    Cool

The man is not really dead. It turns out that Ronald's wife is the woman's sister. The three of them are trying to convince Ronald that he is a murderer so that he will go on the run, leaving his wife in control of his money.

Quite by accident Ronald discovers that his "victim" is still alive and then figures out what they are up to. He turns the tables on them and they leave the hotel it it they who are on the run because they think they have killed Ronald.

    Red face

    Another ending.

As the police close in on them we find that ...

Ronald is psycho. The couple next door do not exist except in his head. The woman is his wife. The man is his shrink. The hotel is a mental hospital. The police are orderlies.

And Ronald is in the hospital because he was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.

Actors "another ending" feels too much like the twist ending in Fight Club (also how The Others took the same ghost movie twist from The Sixth Sense). But if you don't mind taking ques from other peoples films, go ahead & use it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">And my first ending is a lot like Diabolique.

Most stories have strong similarities to others. It's said that Shakespeare never wrote anything original. He just wrote it very skillfully. Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and Othello were stories that existed before Shakespeare was born. Macbeth, Julius Caesar, Anthony and Cleopatra and Henry V were history.

Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West is full of homages to other westers: High Noon, Shane, My Darling Clemintine, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence and Johnny Guitar among others.

    Mark,

How about it ends when the guy discovers the couple next door are actually ghosts, they were in the room before, and their fights ended up as a double murder (He killed her, killed himself). Since then, their ghosts keep haunting the hotel room. He could ask the hotel manager to move rooms "cause the noisy couple next door", and is told the room is vacant. Ok, it sounds a bit "6th Sense", but it's just another idea.

Also, I notice you are based in Scotland -
where-a-boots are ya fae'? (I'm in Glasgow myself, and wanna make contacts with ppl interested in film-making...)
